LDS

This is an outmoded acronym for Latter-day Saint, referring to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also once known as the Mormon church. Neither term is in official usage. The full name of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints should be used instead (in the first reference, and then certain other terms in subsequent references, such as 'the restored church', and 'the Church of Jesus Christ').
