Lyrics from Relief Society Song Book, 1919, no. 61
1. Jesus, Lover of my soul, Let me to Thy bosom fly, While the billows near me roll, While the tempest still is high; Hide me, O my Savior, hide, Till the storm of life is past; Safe into the haven guide, Oh, receive my soul at last. 2. Jesus, merciful and mild, Lead me as a helpless child; On no other arm but Thine Would my weary soul recline; Thou art ready to forgive, Thou dost bid the sinner live— Guide the wand’rer day by day, In the straight and narrow way. 3. Jesus, Friend and Helper mine, Hast Thou made me truly Thine? By the path Thy feet have trod, Lead me daily nearer God. Hear, O hear my tender prayer; Let me His own image bear; Let me love Him more and more, Till I reach heav’n’s blissful shore.
