Lyrics from A Collection of Sacred Hymns, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1841

Hymn 145
7's.
1. Hark!—the song of jubilee,
Loud—as mighty thunders roar;
Or the fullness of the sea,
When it breaks upon the shore—

2. See Jehovah's banners furled!
Sheathed his sword:—he speaks—'tis done!
Now the kingdoms of this world
Are the kingdom of his Son.

3. He shall reign from pole to pole
With supreme, unbounded sway:
He shall reign, when, like a scroll,
Yonder heav'ns have passed away!

4. Hallelujah!—for the Lord
God omnipotent shall reign:
Hallelujah!—let the word
Echo round the earth and main.
