Presumably this refers to the LDS sacramental meal, analogous (at least in some ways) to what other churches may call "the Eucharist", "Communion", "Holy Communion", "the Mass", "the Divine Liturgy", "the Lord's Supper", "the Table of the Lord", etc., etc. In many Christian traditions, this is only one of many Sacraments (e.g. Roman Catholicism recognizes seven Sacraments: Baptism, Eucharist, Reconciliation (also known as Confession, or Penance), Confirmation, Marriage, Holy Orders (Ordination), and Anointing of the Sick (including Extreme Unction, or "Last Rites") (see e.g. this webpage. I have also started a Topic category "Communion", and it may or may not be useful to make some sort of cross-reference between that and this. I am not familiar enough with the LDS doctrine on this point to know whether the terms can be combined without confusion. --Haruo 01:14, 4 August 2007 (MDT)

Hmm, they probably could be combined for a while, but I'm thinking this would be a mistake and would cause some major problems in the future. I think we should make them distinct. I'm not really sure what the full differences are myself. At the very least, sacrament is probably a lesser known term for this to most of the world, and having both names would be useful in that regard (I agree about the links from each other with some explanation about the relation or such).
