Be Thou, O God, exalted high is a hymn, or metrical psalm, published in Tate and Brady's A New Version of the Psalms of David, 1696. Its first stanza is, slightly altered, given under the title "Communion Doxology" as the first item in the Christian Science Hymnal, 1932.

Be thou, O God exalted high; And as Thy glory fills the sky, So let it be on earth displayed, Till Thou art here, as there, obeyed.
O God, my heart is fixed; ’tis bent Its thankful tribute to present; And, with my heart, my voice I’ll raise To Thee, my God, in songs of praise.
Thy praises, Lord, I will resound To all the listening nations round; Thy mercy highest heav’n transcends; Thy truth beyond the clouds extends.
