1. We thank Thee, heav’nly Father,
For sacred, holy ground,
Where blessings of the gospel
And precious gifts abound;
For true and loyal people,
Whom Thou hast planted here,
From continents and islands,
All nations far and near.

2. We thank Thee for the temples,
Wherein Thy people throng,
For friendship, love and union,
Which makes us glad and strong;
For dreams and inspiration,
For records of our dead,
And faith to help redeem them,
As by Thy Spirit led.

3. We thank Thee for the spreading
Of gospel truths abroad,
The light of which shall vanquish
All ignorance and fraud,
That all who will may gather,
Rejoicing in Thy grace,
And stand in holy places,
Prepared to see Thy face.
