I have three Japanese hymnals: the 1954 Sanbika, the 1966(?) Sanbika Dainihen, and the 1995(?) Sanbika 21. (The question marks are because I'm taking the dates from memory rather than going to the bookshelf to check. The three that I have are all products of the United Church of Japan, and are designed for a general protestant market. --[[User:Haruo|Haruo]] 20:44, 28 July 2007 (MDT) | I have three Japanese hymnals: the 1954 Sanbika, the 1966(?) Unfortunately, my computer (or my fonts, or my copy of Firefox... I am not sure where the culprit is hiding) only shows me some Japanese characters. In this case I see what are probably two spaces followed by the kanji for "song" 歌 (normal reading "uta", but in this context probably to be read "-ka"). Since the two spaces preceding it are blank, I don't know if they read "san-bi-" or "shin-sei-" or even (if there's room there for three kana) "shi-o-n", or what. Do you know how to transliterate this title?
