Although this tune is associated with A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief, it is not the tune used in Hymns of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1985 (no. 29). That tune is referenced as Man of Grief here (although the true name and composer of Man of Grief has yet to be verified).

Hail, Sovereign Love - this only fits if an even number of stanzas is used, and thus the eighth stanza is commonly omitted with this tune (this information comes from the Cyberhymnal)
