Forest Green is a hymn tune which has been for nearly a century the usual tune for O Little Town of Bethlehem in Great Britain. In origin it is a folk tune usually called The Ploughboy's Dream; it was arranged for hymnic use by Ralph Vaughan Williams in The English Hymnal. It is generally construed metrically as 8 6 8 6 D.
