This hymnic treatment of John 14:6a ("Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life;") was written in 1961 by Timothy Dudley-Smith.
Lyrics
It has three stanzas, beginning "Christ be my leader", "Christ be my teacher", and "Christ be my Saviour" respectively.
Meter
The poetic meter is 10 10 10 10, though the third verse is actually 10 10 11 11.
