He may be the [[David S. Clayton]] who helped write [[New Britain]].  He was definitely one of the two (the other being [[James P. Carrell]]) noted to compile the [[Virginia Harmony, 1831]].  If we can assure that there were only two people to compile this book, then they are definitely the same person.
