[[C.M.]]<br>
1. Once more we come before our God,<br>
Once more his blessing ask;<br>
O may not duty seem a load,<br>
Nor worship prove a task!

2. May we receive the word we hear,<br>
Each in an honest heart;<br>
And keep the sacred treasure there,<br>
Nor ever with it part.

3. Awake, O heavenly wind, awake!<br>
Refreshing breezes blow;<br>
Let every plant thy power partake,<br>
And all the garden grow.

4. Revive the parched, with softening showers;<br>
The cold, with warmth divine;<br>
The benefit shall all be ours;<br>
Be all the glory thine.

5. Come, guilty souls, and flee away<br>
To Christ, and heal your wounds;<br>
This is the welcome gospel-day,<br>
Wherein free grace abounds.

6. God loved the world, and gave his Son,<br>
To drink the cup of wrath:<br>
And Jesus says, he'll cast out none,<br>
That come to him by faith.
