'''Ann E. Beatty''' was the compiler/translator of ''[[Espero Internacia]]'', ca. 1920, the first significant Esperanto-language hymnal published in the United States. She also wrote more than a dozen original hymns/songs in Esperanto, which are included in her hymnal set to tunes of her own composition. Her tune [[Batal-Himno (Beatty)]], composed for her translation of the [[Battle Hymn of the Republic]], is apparently the only extant case where she composed a tune for a translation rather than using the tune already associated with the original.
