A Collection of Sacred Hymns, for the Church of the Latter Day Saints, 1835
From HymnWiki
(Redirected from First LDS Hymnal)
This is the first hymnal for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was put together by Emma Smith, as instructed in the Doctrine and Covenants, section 25. It contains 90 hymns. Today, the original is a very rare book, worth quite a bit of money. There have been reprintings, closer to the present (at least in the '70s), and these tend to run for about $20-30.
